In 1 Corinthians 15 Paul is explaining the manner of our resurrection, sometimes called the “rapture:”

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 (NKJV)

51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Paul says the moment of our transformation into our new physical bodies will happen instantaneously at “the last trumpet.” Since Paul calls this trumpet the “last” trumpet, there must have been earlier trumpet sound that preceded the last trumpet. Continue reading

The Resurrection Of Jesus -Saved From The Judgment of Death

RESURRECTION TIMELINE AND OUR JUDGMENT

Paul says there is an order, a timeline associated with resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:23 (NKJV)

23 But each one in his own order: Christ the first fruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.

judgmentIn God”s great plan Paul reveals there will be orderly steps for resurrection. And each step has an appointed time. The first step has already taken place as Christ was the first fruits since He is resurrected. And we know Christ is the first fruits since no man before Him has been resurrected. It was not even possible. This step has taken place already and that takes us to the second step. It is for “those who are Christ’s.” Those are the ones who are believing in Christ and have since the day of His resurrection. Elsewhere we know those who are dead, including the Old Testament saints will be resurrected first after Jesus. Continue reading
