In speaking of Jesus, the Lord declares this to Israel:

Ezekiel 34:15-16 (NKJV)

15 I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down,” says the Lord God16 “I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong, and feed them in judgment.”

This is the Lord’s promise to bind up the broken, but it’s spoken metaphorically. As a shepherd binds the wounds of a sheep, so will the Lord bind up His people, healing them by giving them a new, resurrected body.
